Oolong is a multimedia performance took place in Connecting Space, Hong Kong. A fishnet was transformed into a huge teabag. We invited our audience to enjoy a cup of 'Oolong'. The fishnet also played the role of a stage, a musical instrument, a projection space, a sculpture, as well as, a trap.

Lound = Light + Sound
It is a self-generated instrument. By gently pushing the bottles, the light of the laser projection generated sound. It can be a projection machine which creates noise. It can also be a sound interface which is in the form of an illuminant. This instrument tends to discover the ‘in-between mystery’ through raw electronic components. Getting rid of computers, there is only vocal light and visible sound.

Hypomnesia was created in Blender with Neurosky Brainwave sensor. By getting the data of one’s attention level, in this project, I try to visualise the abstract experience of reminiscence. Viewers will be led into a strange village. In order to have a clear vision, one must be highly concentrate.

CNC Machine, Interactive Sugar Sculptures

Sugar is sexy, superbly psychedelic, stimulating, sweet and synonymous for a society of hyper consumption and addiction to instant gratification in all levels of life. Therefore, an Arduino based CNC machine was created for sugar printing. A series of interactive sugar lamps were later shown in the Osage Gallery, Hong Kong. The sweet-smelling, seductive colour and the dazzling lustre of the sculptures brought lots of attention. However, the excessive concern finally brought the death of the pieces (the melting of sugar).
